CNG PROJECT MANAGER

 

Main Purpose:

Manage the development of CNG facilities in Tanzania from Design, Project Management, Project Supervision, Budget/cost control, Schedule compliance and Quality/HSE compliance. The role will be the Subject Matter Expert.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

Review and advise on CNG facilities designs.


Involvement and assisting in Business/Investment Case Preparation and/or Assistance with Inputs to the business case.


Permitting and obtaing of all necessary Regulatory/Statutory requirements


Manage the Project construction phase:


Tendering and appointment of EPCM Companies

Procurement of Capital Equipment

Supervision of Construction Activities

Validation and Verification Tests

Commissioning

Project Management:


Project Scheduling - Creating of Project Schedules using MS Project Software (Gantt Charts)

Managing Project timelines and critical paths

Project Stage approvals

Project Reports

Managing CNG Contracts and External Supplier Agreements

Managing the Project Budget and Cost Control.


Managing Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHE&Q) requirements during construction and after Project completion


Operational readiness which includes:


Recruitment of key personnel for Operation and Maintenance

Tools, Equipment and other resources required

Critical Spare Parts and Components required

Development of Maintenance and Operational Plans

Preparation of Operational and Maintenance Procedures

Training and Development of CNG teams – operators, technicians and supervisors


Stakeholder management – both internal and external will be key to success in this position. Knowledge of the Tanzania or similar CNG and Natural gas environment, standards, regulations and other requirements is highly critical.
